25.3.30 Gardening and Living Life

Dear Friends of Sacred Ground,

~ "Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree" -  often attributed to Martin Luther

Gardening season is just around the corner. And whether I am planting seeds, preparing soil, watering, weeding, or even just dreaming about what I'd like to try growing, every gardening season is accompanied by an invitation to explore any number of rich metaphors for living life.

As I start planning what I want to cultivate in this year's garden and get ready to start tomato seeds on my window sill, I'm also thinking about what I want to cultivate in my life. For some reason, this season seems to be sponsored by the letter "C."  Courage. Compassion. Creativity. Curiosity. Connection. How do I cultivate these qualities so that my actions flow from a heart that is open and grounded?

Sacred Ground's April calendar is full of opportunities to cultivate creativity, compassion, and courageous connections. I'm looking forward to learning and exploring and would love to welcome you to join us.

In hope and with gratitude,

Jessica Sanborn (she/her)

Program Coordinator
